Clearly Quality
The clearly quality program is strategic planning through a commitment to excellence in products and services. It is a call to all employees to contribute and adapt in an ever-changing marketplace.
Clearly Quality
Our “Clearly Quality” program empowers our employees to take a more active part in their company and workplace and to help each other solve problems. The goal is to move us towards seeking quality improvements in all areas.
All-West Glass ‘Clearly Quality’ program is based on the following principles:
Leadership
How are we managed? How do we address our responsibilities to our communities and invite good citizenship?
Planning
How do we determine our strategic direction? Action plans?
Customer and market focus
How do we determine your requirements and expectations? How do we build better relationships and retain your loyalty?
Measurement and Analysis
How can we improve our internal and external use and analysis of data and information?
Human resource focus
How can we enable everyone in our company to develop their potential?
Process management
How are key production/delivery and support processes designed, managed, and improved?
Some of our Clearly Quality success stories:
- Reflections, our company newsletter. The first company newsletter was started in January 1994. Since then, Reflections has become a way for our employees in Canada to regularly keep in touch with company news—and each other, through stories and photo’s. All employees are encouraged to contribute story ideas, articles, local store news, jokes and photo’s.
- Policy and procedure manuals
- A wide variety of all-weather company clothing
- A glass industry and customer-service focused video and book library
- A recognition and reward system for years of service
- Storewide accident-free and WCB Awards
- AWG Day: Every year, on the third Wednesday in August, we get-together to celebrate AWG Day! Co-workers and families in each location get-together for a company wide barbecue or fun outing. Even though we all can’t be together on this day, we can all celebrate the occasion together.
- Safety awards for Glaziers. It’s difficult to work around glass and not have an accident!
- Meeting Madness contest. An internal contest to encourage regular meetings and safety discussions from each location with quarterly and annual prize draws.
- Think Green – an internal competition to add greenery and curbside appeal to our locations.
- An employee referral program for difficult-to fill-positions.
